These classic Cretan barley rusks (kritharokouloura) are one of the most traditional products of Cretan cuisine and carry Protected Geographical Indication status. Made with wholegrain barley flour, wheat flour, sourdough, and a touch of extra virgin olive oil, they are crunchy, hearty, and full of Mediterranean character.

Thanks to their high fibre content, they are a tasty and nutritious everyday choice. Enjoy them instead of fresh bread, or use them as the perfect base for an authentic Greek dakos. Simple, rustic, and delicious a little piece of Crete on your table.

How to Enjoy
